Spring Trip - Disney World
Please disregard the information below. This was for our Spring 2020 trip. More information on the Spring 2023 trip is to come. All trips are tentative due to the possibility of unforeseen circumstances of COVID-19.
The JCHS choral program and the Willard choral program are going to Music City! This spring your student will spend three days in Nashville, Tennessee! Scroll down to see more information about financing and our current trip itinerary.
Dates: April 2-4, 2020 (Thursday-Saturday)
Please remember that spring break starts on Saturday April 4th. Students are responsible to contact their teachers to make up any/all missing work.
Departure Date: April 1, 2020
We will be leaving the evening of April 1, 2020 and driving through the night. Students will need to pack a small change of clothes because we will be going straight into the parks the next day.
Return Date: April 4, 2020
Students will arrive back at John Champe High School early Sunday morning. Students will be advised to call their parents thirty minutes before we arrive to the school.

Prices for trips fluctuate based off of how many students will be on a bus, the amount of students in one room, and other unexpected costs. Payments are nonrefundable because of the fluctuation of cost that is based on numbers. The trip can be paid all at once or through our financing program. The financing program breaks the total cost into three different payments to make it financially more feasible.

Spring Trip - Nashville, Tennessee - Trip Itinerary
Day 1 Thursday, April 2, 2020
Upon arrival, visit the Gaylord Opryland Hotel. You will be in awe of the 9 acres of indoor gardens, cascading waterfalls and the indoor river with its own Delta flatboats beneath the glass roof.
12:00 pm - Lunch on the General Jackson Showboat. The world's grandest showboat offers delicious meals and world-class entertainment while cruising the majestic Cumberland River. Enjoy live entertainment while taking in the beautiful view of the Nashville skyline and other historical points of interest along the River.
3:00 pm - Backstage Tour of the Grand Ole Opry. There's nothing like a backstage tour of the Grand Ole Opry House - it's a must-see for everyone in Music City! Walk in the footsteps of country music's superstars and get an exclusive look at what happens behind the scenes of the show that made country music famous! Hear stories about the Opry and country music greats, past and present (from Minnie Pearl to Carrie Underwood), see photos from the Opry's biggest moments in history, and much more.
4:30 pm - Explore Opry Mills with your chaperone group and have fun shopping! Opry Mills features the best names in manufacturers' and retail outlets including Nike, Saks Fifth Avenue Off 5TH, Gap Outlet and Old Navy.
5:30 pm - Dinner at Rainforest Cafe - Opry Mills. A beast of a feast! No other dining experience is quite as wild as Rainforest Cafe. With state-of-the-art decor and animatronics, it's a real jungle in here! Rainforest Café is a tropical rain forest theme restaurant and retail concept, featuring great food, shopping and environmental education.
7:00 pm - The Grand Ole Opry is a weekly American country music stage concert in Nashville, Tennessee founded on November 28, 1925, by George D. Hay as a one-hour radio "barn dance" on WSM. Currently owned and operated by Opry Entertainment, it is the longest running radio broadcast in US history.
10:00 pm - Hotel Check-in. Check into your hotel with the assistance of your Trip Composers Tour Escort.

12:00 pm - Wildhorse Saloon for a buffet Lunch. The Wildhorse Saloon is Nashville's #1 Dining and Entertainment destination and a mecca of entertainment in America. Stick around for group line dance lesson!
2:00 pm - Choir Workshop at Belmont University - lead by Deen E. Entsminger, Ph.D. Professor of Music, College of Visual and Performing Arts
4:00 pm - Take a journey through entertainment history with a self-guided tour of the Ryman Auditorium, the “mother church of country music” and active award-winning performance hall. Enjoy a video history of the Ryman, hosted by Trisha Yearwood and step on the legendary stage to have your photo taken. Known for acoustic quality second only to the Mormon Tabernacle, the Ryman Auditorium welcomes student performance groups on their famous stage!

11:15 am - Dollywood - Spanning 150 acres in the foothills of the Great Smoky Mountains, Dollywood offers more than 40 rides, 15 exceptional shows, Southern-style dining, and the friendliest employees in the world!
7:00 pm - Dollywood closes, return to bus and depart for home!
